GULFPORT -- Mrs. Virginia L. Staples, 68, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Staples was a native of Utica and a resident of Gulfport for 30 years. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Staples.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Ann Weathersby of Pascagoula and Kathy M. Chapman of Gulfport; a brother, Dennis Ray McGuffee; a sister, Minnie Earl Pulliam, both of Gulfport; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A service will be at 10:45 a.m. Friday at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel, 25th Avenue, Gulfport, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
