Vigil service is 7:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary Catholic Church with the rosary following. Funeral mass is 10 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. James E. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
He married Albertina Urban Jan. 6, 1931, in Garden City.
He grew up in St. Peter and attended schools there. He had been a Kearny County and Finney County resident since his marriage in 1931. He enjoyed baseball, fishing and being with his family and grandchildren. Mr. Dreiling was a bulk tank truck driver for Smallwood Oil Co., Garden City. He had been retired since the early 1980s. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Garden City. He was a subdistrict softball commissioner for many years as well as a softball team manager for the St. Mary men's softball team and later the Garnand's softball team.
Survivors include: his wife, of the home; a son, John, Littleton, Colo.; four daughters, Violet Fry and Sylvia Simmons, both of Garden City, Lilly Penka, Great Bend, and Mary Ann Campbell, Edmond, Okla.; a brother, Charles, Garden City; a sister, Elizabeth Knoll, Garden City; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph P., Godfrey and John, two sisters, Rose Smith and Catherine Miles, and a granddaughter and great-granddaughter.
Memorials are suggested for mass intentions at St. Mary's in care of Garnand Funeral Home. Friends may call until 9 tonight and from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
