Joseph W. Hartman Sept. 20, 1918 Oct. 22, 2005 Services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Ln., Thursday, October 27 at 10:00 a.m. for Joseph W. Hartman. Joe was born September 20, 1918 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Joseph E. and Marylou Hartman. Joseph served in the U.S. Army 20 years, starting as a recruit and retiring as a Major, earning the Bronze Star Medal among many others. He joined the California Department of Corrections and retired after 18 years in 1982. Pictured with his wife of 36 years Gayle, having passed away November 3, 2004. Joseph will be placed beside his wife at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Ruth Mary Hartman; his sister, Eugene; niece, Mary; and stepsons, Tom and Larry Nelson.
