In 1940 he, his wife, her brother Benjamin, and her brother Lessel, his wife, and their three children lived in a house they were renting for $15 a month on Joppa Road near Chapel Road in Perry Hall, MD. Lessel worked as a foreman for a building supply company, with an income in 1939 of $1000 for 30 weeks of work. He and Benjamin both worked for home builders, with incomes in 1939 of $500 for 30 weeks of work.

Farris Wilson, 85 and of Bloomfield, passed away at 12:55 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. Born Feb. 1, 1917, in Greene County, he was the son of Roy and Lona (Busenburg) Wilson. He was a supervisor for Michigan Silo, and also worked for the town of Bloomfield. He was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church. Survivors include two brothers, Wayne Wilson of Springville and Kermit Wilson of Dugger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva M. (Clark) Wilson on Feb. 10, 2001, and his parents. Funeral services will be at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
