Fred Morgenthaler, 80, of Humbird, died at the home of his brother February 3 (1949).

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Cole Funeral Home. Burial was made in the Town of Mentor Cemetery. Rev. N. J. Dechant was officiating clergyman.

Mr. Morgenthaler was born May 27, 1868, in Switzerland. He received his education in the schools there. In 1907 he came to this country. Most of this time until his death was spent in Jackson and Clark counties.

Mr. Morgenthaler is survived by a half brother, Gottfried Maeder, of Humbird.

Mrs. Helen Smith sang two selections accompanied by Mrs. Cole at the piano.

Mrs. Warren Balling of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Otte of Freeport, Ill., were here for the funeral.
