CHESTERTON, Ind.--Mrs. Catherine Ann Fisher, 74, died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at her home in Chesterton after an extended illness.
The decedent was born in Crown Point, Ind., Mar. 15, 1874, and was married April 8, 1898, in Kouts, to Rutherford Hayes Fisher, who preceded her in death April 25. Her maiden name was Catherine Ann Tilton. She had resided in Chesterton for 29 years, coming here from Kouts.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a past worthy matron. The only known near relatives are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Bertha Lamb, of LaGrange, Ill., and several cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the First Methodist church, Chesterton, with the Rev. R. Ross Shannon officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, west of Kouts, with Chesterton Eastern Stars conducting committal rites at the grave. Kosanke Brothers, of Kouts, will be in charge.
Friends may call at the Flynn funeral home in Chesterton from 1 p.m. Friday until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, when the body will be taken to the First Methodist church.
