Redfield - Mary E. Keller, 93, of Redfield, S.D. died Thursday, July 7, 2005 at the Faulkton Hospital in Faulkton, S.D. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 11, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Redfield. Fr. William Osborn will celebrate the mass. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Redfield. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Mary was born August 23, 1911 in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Canada to Anton and Regina (Grunsky) Lutter. She came to the United States, with her family, at the age of 12, to the Redfield area. She married James E. Keller in 1929 in Redfield. She became a United States citizen in 1956. She helped area families with cleaning and housekeeping for many years. She has lived with her daughter, Katherine Schulte, near Orient for the last year. Mary was a member of St. Bernard's Church and Altar Society and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, reading, flowers and gardening. Mary is survived by her son Leonard Keller of Black Hawk, S.D.; and her daughter Katherine (Richard) Schulte of Orient, S.D., 10 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and one brother Robert Lutter of Flandreau, S.D. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1983, two sons: James B. and Roger, an infant daughter Lucille, six brothers and two sisters.
