Until his retirement Elzie Lee Carr was employed by Davis Furniture as a foreman . Sometime after his wife Geraldine died in 1992 Elzie moved to Otis , Louisiana where his son Billy Carr and his family lived . Elzie Lee Carr died on Tuesday August 19 , 2003 at the Saint Francis Cabrina Hospital in Alexandria , Louisiana . He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Priddy Carr who died June 26 , 1992 in Memphis , Tennessee ; his son Robert Lee Carr who died December 22, 2001 in Abilene , Texas ; his parents Leander and Alice Carr ; his brother Alonza Carr ; and his sister Minerva Carr Ruth . He was survived by his son Billy Carr , four grandchildren , and a great grandson .
