Mr. Van Erem was born March 9, 1902, in Big Stone, S.D., where he grew up and attended school. He moved to North Dakota in 1925. He married Lily Wilson on June 20, 1929, in Jamestown. They farmed near Buchanan, N.D., until 1945, when they began farming near Pingree, N.D. They retired near Jamestown in 1963 and moved into Jamestown in 1992. They entered Rock of Ages, Jamestown, in 1997.
He is survived by his wife.
Visitation: Sunday from 1-9 in Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Funeral: Monday at 10:30 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
