Only child of Carrie Leslie Sanders Graves & William Frederick Graves. Father of four children, George Robert Graves, Debra Lynn Graves Dawson, Donald Wayne Graves and Ralph Frederick Graves. He had one grandson, David George Dawson, two grand-daughters Michelle Graves, Melanie Graves.
Married to Billie Jo Newsom Graves of Memphis TN.(July 10, 1929 - September 25th, 2004)which he met while stationed in the Navy at Pensacola. He had flown to Memphis and spotted Mom working at the Woolworth Five & Dime and that was it for both of them ! He worked on aircraft while in the Navy and would hitch a flight to Memphis every chance he could to see Mom, when he was discharged they were married, they were married on July 5th, 1947. They were married for 57 years.
Dad retired from Nel-Bran Glass Company in Birmingham. He was a Shriner & a Mason. Avid bowler, Great Dad!
