Remaining to honor his memory are his wife of 54 years, Linda Ann Hendrickson Roberts, of North Little Rock; two sons, Michael Lawrence Roberts and wife Deidre; Steven Carl Roberts and wife Sherri; four grandchildren, Avery Joanna Roberts, Michala Joy Roberts, Abby Lynn Roberts, and William Andrew Roberts; three siblings, Laura Roberts Epps, Donald Roberts, and Thomas Roberts; and many loving family members and friends.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, William Roberts and Sylvia Emmerling Roberts and one brother Edgar Roberts.
Carl was a banker in Little Rock for 50 years, starting at Union National Bank and finishing his career as a Senior Vice President of Metropolitan National Bank. He held a masters degree from Southwestern Graduate School of Banking, Southern Methodist University. His avocation and calling was to serve as a church musician. From the age of eleven to just a few years before his passing, Carl served as a church organist and/or choir director, most notably at Western Hills United Methodist Church in Little Rock. Carl also enjoyed engaging in projects around the house and was constantly building, renovating, and creating.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Little Rock with a reception following.
