Percy Whitfield Abels, 86, of Byhalia, died Nov. 1, 2013, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a Baptist and a truck driver.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 3 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Goshen Cemetery in Coffeeville.
He leaves his wife, Frances Gilmore Abels; five sons, Francis Abels of Byhalia, Archie Abels of Coffeeville, Jerry Abels of Watson, Jeff Abels, Sam Abels, both of Byhalia; two daughters, Jackie Gandy of Byhalia, Susan Ritchey of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Curtis Jacky.
