Charles E. Myers, 66, of 2425 Mahoning rd NE, died Monday afternoon in Mercy hospital. A native of Leetonia, he had resided here more than 60 years and for 17 years was with the Canton Bridge Co. In later years he was with the Canton Foundry & Machine Co. and at the time of his death was a clerk for the city of Canton.

Always active in Republican affairs, Mr. Myers was candidate for councilman at large several times. He was a member of the Congregational church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Martha Eicher Myers; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Tschantz of the home; his mother, Mrs. Rosa C. Myers, 84, of Harrisburg, Pa.; two brothers, Preston of California and Ralph E. Myers of Canton, and one sister, Mrs. B.A. Shotts of Harrisburg.

Rev. G.G. Shurtz will conduct the funeral Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the Seesholtz Memorial and burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the memorial after 3 p.m. today.
