Malissia Henry Adkison

The angelic hosts came for Mother Malissia Henry Adkison on Nov. 25, 2013 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia, among loving family and devoted friends. Viewing was Friday, Nov. 29, at Moore's Angelic Funeral Home, 406 Monroe St. in Teague, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Union Memorial United Methodist Church, 414 LCR 180 in Coolidge. Rev. Sylvester Key II, pastor, served as eulogist and Rev. Riley Armstead, pastor of Mustang Baptist Church in Prairie Hill, officiated. Interment followed at Sandy Creek Cemetery in Coolidge.
Malissia Henry Adkison, the only child of Mary Etta Briscoe McQuirter and Eldridge Henry, was born Nov. 23, 1921 in Limestone County. Adkison grew up in the Sandy Community of Coolidge, and attended the Oak Hill and Sandy Public Schools.
She united with the Union Memorial United Methodist Church at an early age and was a faithful member until her health failed her.
