Age 96, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013. Gino was born in the Abruzzi region of Italy in the small town of Pettorano sul Gizio . He immigrated to the United states at the age of 16. He is survived by Naomi, his wife of 65 years, his brother, Antonio Monaco (Ruth) of Chicago and his sister, Brigida Giammarco of Pettorano sul Gizio, Italy. He is also survived by his children, Rosemary Monaco, Daniel Monaco, Darla Hiltgen (Ken) and Christopher Monaco (Patrice); grandchildren, Eleanor Fregni (Tamir Nolley), Nicholas Hiltgen (Anna Mackowiak), Hilary Monaco and Harrison Monaco; several nieces and nephews: Daniele Giammarco (Pina), Roselle Tortis (Floriano), Anna Maria Schiappa (Nunzio), Gina Monaco, Judith Anderson, Connie Mcvey, Charles Basinger (Sally), Carl Hopkins, Jr (Phyllis) and many great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM, at LUMEN CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2700 W. Mequon Rd. corner N. Range Line Rd., Mequon. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield at 1:00 PM (Meet in the red parking area
