Daniel D. DeLape, aged 90, died November 22, 2013 at the Aristacare Nursing Center, Whiting, NJ. Born July 25, 1923 in Roslyn, NY, he resided in Hicksville for 35 years, moving to Whiting in 1989.

He is predeceased by his wife of 56 years, the late Mary Lou DeLape in 2007. Surviving are his children, Christine DeLape, Dina Jeremy, Robin Noland, and David DeLape. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Heather, Jordan, and Mallory.

Daniel was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in World War II. He was an Electrical Worker for Long Island Lighting Company for 33 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Hicksville, NY for many years.

Cremation is private and under the direction of Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, Whiting. Interment will be at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
