John R. Asay, 66, of Route 25 Yardville was stricken with a heart attack yesterday at his home. He was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital. A former guard at the State Prison, he was a member of the Trenton Lodge of Moose and Trenton Aerie of Eagles.
Surviving are two brothers, George Asay of Yardville and Charles Asay of Trenton.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 South Main Street, Allentown. The Rev. Edward B. Cheney of Groveville Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Groveville Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow evening.
