Robert Alan Green, known as Bob Green, age 82, of Burton, MI, passed away Monday September 30, 2013 at the Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Hill Funeral Home 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Pastor Patrick England officiating. Cremation will follow. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday from 10-11 AM with a Masonic Memorial at 7 PM Thursday. Bob was born July 14, 1931 in Berkley, MI to parents Andrew Green and Louise (Cornell) Green. He was a member and Past Master of Grand Blanc Masonic Lodge #571. A member of the Elf Khurafeh Shrine, UAW Local 599, VFW Post #2777. Bob graduated from Bendle in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a Electrician at Buick Motors for 38 years. He also worked as a Burton Twp. Police officer. A devoted father and grandfather and sports fan, he attended all of his families sporting events. Surviving are wife of 54 years Joan Marie Green, who played cribbage together every morning; children Robert (Trudy) Green, Karol Bol, Mike (Mary) Kalat, Alan (Julie) Green, Kimberley (Mark) Wing, Kerri (Henry Schumann) Clark; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Dr. James C. Green D.O. many friends and family. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly; brother Byron Green.
