Evelyn J. Gugino, 80, of Lake Avenue, Brocton died unexpectedly Monday, May 24, 2010 at home.

She was born in Dunkirk, N.Y., on Jan. 1, 1930, the daughter of the late Frank and Felicia Notaro Woods.

She had been a Brocton area resident since 1954, formerly living in Dunkirk.

She was a home maker and also worked outside the home for Van Raulty Co. of Dunkirk, Country Fair of Brocton and Tops Market of Fredonia.

Her hobbies and enjoyment were bowling for 30 years at West Portland Bowling Allies, roller skating, serving as a Girl Scout leader, traveling and sewing.

Her family and friends will all miss the pies and cookies she made for every-one.

She is survived by three daughters Carla (Ernie) Kuzdzal of Fredonia; Cathy (Michael) Brown of Orrville, Ohio and Carol (Joseph) Botticello of Forestville. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive as does her brother Albert Woods of Denver, Colo. and a sister Delores Sell of Austin, TX.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Gugino whom she married June 9, 1950 and preceded her in death Aug. 13, 1999.

Three brothers, Joseph, Clarence and Robert Woods and two sisters, Mary Woods and Dorothy Woods also predeceased her.
