Alice T. Griego, age 82, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 21, 2013 after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo and Isabel Trujillo, and her daughter, Christine Benavidez and eight beloved brothers and sisters.
Alice is survived by her husband of 52 years, Cresencio "Chris", grandchildren from daughter, Christine, Danielle Sifuentes (Juan) and great-granddaughter, Blue, Justeen Sanderson (Evan) and Alexondria Benavidez, her daughter, Edwina and her husband, Alfred and grandchildren, Janelle, Alfred Jr. and Brittany and daughter, Rose Sandoval and her husband, Joseph and grandson, Nicholas. Alice is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Bertha, Dora, Louisa, Fidel and Leonard as well as numerous loving family members.
Alice worked for the New Mexico Commission for the Blind and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation running vending facilities for over 20 years. Alice will always be remembered for her active church participation, strong faith and love and compassion for others.
Rosary will be held on November 25, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave., Albuquerque. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
