ELLEN M. ANDERBERG
Ellen M. Anderberg, 86 of Lake Bluff, Ill, died September 5, 2003 at Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, IL. She was born July 23, 1917 in Maiden Rock Township, near Lund, WI; a daughter of Arvid and Anna Jacobson Dahlberg. After attending elementary school at Number Sixteen School, she did domestic work in the area before moving to Chicago, Illinois about 1940.
She was employed at Fresh air Sanitarium for tuberculosis patients, and later, after obtaining LPN certification at Mather Care Center, Evanston, IL.
March 18, 1967, Ellen married Glenn L. Anderberg of Lake Bluff, IL. He died in 1991.
Mrs. Anderberg enjoyed traveling entertaining, and was active in the women's activities of Grace United Methodist Church of Lake Bluff. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Chicago.
She is survived by one sister, Ethel Anderson, Ellsworth; one niece; and one sister-in-law.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Arvid and Anna Jacobson Dahlberg; her husband, Glenn L. Anderberg; and infant sister, and one brother, Werner Dahlberg in 1992.
Memorial service was held at Lake Bluff, Illinois September 27, 2003 with Revs. Jay Walkington, Robert Goldstein and Cerna Rand officiating. Private burial took place at New Sabylund Cemetery near Stockholm. Wenban Funeral Home Lake Forest, IL was in charge of arrangements.
