Mrs. Crystal Halene Frazier, 94, of 107 Coy Ave., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 25, 2006 at the Harmony House in Lerona with her family by her side. Born July 29, 1912 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Junie Scott Thorn. Crystal worked as a school teacher for Mercer County for 25 years and was a member of the Mountain View Community Church at Elgood. She received her teaching degree from Concord College in Athens. Survivors: Daughter, Junie Doyle and husband L.D. of Princeton; son, Benny Eades and wife Shirley of Pembroke, Va.; grandchildren, Kathy Hawks, Ricky Doyle, Pamela Cheatwood, Mike Eades, Gaye Eades and Steve Eades; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, Joe Thorn and wife Jackie of Princeton; sisters, Edith Hypes of Roanoke, Va., Elaine Butler and husband Carl of Island Creek, Alice Skeens and husband Pete of Toledo, Ohio. Graveside services and burial will be held Wednesday, Sept. 27. 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton with Pastor John King officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton by 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. There will be no visitation.
