Juanita Pickett Cox, born Nov. 16, 1920 in Wilmore, Ky, passed away Oct. 28, 2003 in Dallas, Tx.,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm in Jan. of 1992.

They had owned Schooldell Grocery in Oak Cliff for almost thirty years.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Cynthia Jean and Charles DeMent of Duncanville, granddaughter, Jennifer Leigh DeMent, brother and sister in law, Fred and Lela Eastman of Oklahoma City, Ok, nephew, David Eastman and his wife and children, Debbie and Demetri and Staci, niece, Lanita and her husband, Jim Sherburn and their son, Austin.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2003 at Dallas First Church of the Nazarene, 811 N. Cockrell Hill Rd at Pleasant Run, DeSoto with Rev. Robert Williams and Dr. Robert Simmons officiating.

Interment will follow at Laurel Land in Dallas.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
