Troy K. Pegoda, 78, of Huntsville, Texas passed away September 28, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Pegoda was born November 3, 1934 in Walker County to Todd and Alice Pegoda. He attended Huntsville schools, served in the US Army, worked as a Fabricator for Thomas & Betts Pole Co. in Houston, TX with over 22 years of service. He is survived by his wife; Betty Pegoda. The were married July 3, 1998 in Huntsville, Texas. Also surviving him are 2 daughters; Tina Swinea and her husband Charlie. Sherry Burt and her husband Stan. 2 sons; Kenneth Pegoda and David Kelly. Step-son; Gene Stokes and his wife Shyanne. 2 brothers; Herman Pegoda and his wife Barbara and Phillip Pegoda and Numerous Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Gilbert Pegoda and Vernon Pegoda and his wife Viola. 2 sisters; Annie Mae Jones and Inez Morgan.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday October 1, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Point Blank, TX. with Pastor Mickey Fountain officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Huntsville, TX. The visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service time also at the church. Pallbearers will be Johnathon Swinea, Charlie Swinea, David Kelly, Phillip Pegoda, Kenneth Pegoda and Gene Stokes.
