"Fatal Accident at Livonia Crossing - Harold Agard, 22, until recently employed by W.D. Grover here and well known to many people of this community, died in St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Thursday morning at three o'clock from injuries received the previous evening in an automobile accident near Livonia. From meager information received here, the accident occurred between seven and eight o'clock on Wednesday evening. Agard was driving a Ford sedan which was struck by a train on the Erie railroad at a crossing near Livonia. He was taken on board the train to Rochester and transferred to the hospital there, where he passed away about five hours later. He was a son of Solon Agard of Springwater, a sister, Mrs. Gifford Sharp, resides near Livonia and he has a brother living in Conesus. Mr. and Mrs. Grover left for Rochester immediately upon receiving word of the accident and will take the body to the home of an aunt in that city. Agard had been in the employ of Mr. Grover here for about two years. Funeral arrangements will be announced later."

"Sad Railroad Accident - Last Wednesday evening Harold Agard, 22 years of age, son of Solon Agard of Springwater was run into by an Erie train north of Livonia village, causing his death a few hours later. He had been visiting his sister, Mrs. Gifford Sharp who resides at what is known as Williams Crossing, where the accident occurred. He was on his way to Livonia, in a Ford car, and intended to take a friend from Livonia to Rochester. The train struck the car at the crossing and carried it about 100 feet. The car was demolished and Mr. Agard was fatally injured. He was placed aboard the train and on reaching Rochester was taken to St. Mary's Hospital, where he died at 12:30. His only period of consciousness was when he reached the Erie depot. His aunt, Mrs. Lamont, was there to meet him, and he recognized her, calling her by name."

"Train Kills Harold Agard - Harold Agard, 22 year old son of Solon Agard of Dansville, was struck about 7:30 Wednesday evening by the Erie train going to Rochester, resulting in his death five hours later. He had been visiting his sister, Mrs. Gifford Sharp, who lives on the Clancy farm at Williams Crossing, and was on his way to Livonia to get Miss Dorothy Colegrove and Miss Mabel Hart, whom he was going to take to Rochester to see the latter's sister. At the time of the accident, however, he was alone in his Ford sedan. The train struck the car at the crossing and carried it about 100 feet. The car was demolished and Mr. Agard was fatally injured. He was placed aboard the train, and on reaching Rochester was taken to St. Mary's Hospital, where he died at 12:30. His only period of consciousness was when he reached the Erie depot. His aunt, Mrs. Mark Lamont, was there to meet him, and he recognized her, calling her by name. The funeral will be held at 1 o'clock city time from the aunt's residence at 659 Clay St., Rochester, followed by a service at the South Livonia Church at 2 o'clock standard time Sunday. The Rev. Mr. Jermin of St. Peter's Memorial Church, Dansville, will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot at South Livonia. Harold Agard was well known in Livonia. He lived here for several months. At one time he drove for Truman Hart, and had also worked in the barber shop of J.C. DuBois. The tragedy is heightened by the fact that he was engaged to be married to Miss Alice Hart of Livonia."
