TERRE HAUTE — Homer David Hendricks, 84, of Terre Haute, passed away at 11:20 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, in Southwood Kindred Healthcare Center, in Terre Haute. He retired from Alcan Aluminum Corporation after many years of service. He was born on January 29, 1929, in West Terre Haute, to Homer and Cecil Hendricks. He was a member of the West Terre Haute Assembly of God Church.

Homer is survived by his wife, Mary Mershon Selvia Hendricks; a daughter, Nancy J. Meadows and husband Bart of Terre Haute; a grandson, Matthew Meadows of Terre Haute; a brother, Harry Hendricks and wife Sylvia; a sister-in-law, Mary Hendricks; a special nephew, Danny Hendricks; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Roxanne Meadows; a brother, Ira Joe Hendricks; and four sisters, Stella Roman, Helen Garrett, Althia Gully, and Lucille Frank.

Funeral services for Homer will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park.

The family would also like to give a special thank you to the staff of Southwood for the care they provided to Homer and his family.
