Services for William C. Harper of Greenville, who was found dead early Tuesday, March 4 in his room were held Wednesday afternoon at Stovall Funeral Home, Greenville. Dr. J. D. Wroten, superintendent of the Greenville district of the Methodist Churches, officiated. Burial was in Indianola cemetery. Mr. Harper was 49 years old.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Beppo Arnold-Knowles Post, American Legion. He was born at Okolona, and had been employed at the Greenville Army Air Field, Camp McCain and Oak Ridge, Tenn. He recently returned to Greenville from the Veterans Hospital at Biloxi.

He leaves five sons, Billy and Jimmie Harper, both of Memphis, Robert Harper, of the navy in California and Clyde Chandler and Charles Henry Harper of Jackson; and three brothers Helma Harper and Jean Harper of Jackson; and three brothers Charlie Harper of Gulfport, Frank Harper of Jackson and Robert T. Harper of Winona.
