LEVI LAMB, 72, of St. Petersburg died Sunday at St. Petersburg General Hospital. A native of Miccosukee, he moved to this area from Tallahassee in 1947.
He was a postal worker for 32 years, president of the former Alpha's Clothing Store, a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, and member of Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church, where he was pastor's steward and chairman of the trustees board and financial secretary of the annual and general conference for 23 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Ronald of Absecon, N.J., and Roderick of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter, Sheila Lamb Peterson of Blacksburg, Va.; two sisters, Rosa Lee Brown of Fort Pierce and Lelia Peterson of Tallahassee; and three grandchildren. Creal Funeral Home St. Petersburg.

He retired as a mail handler in 1987 after 32 years with the U.S. Post Office and was president of the former Alpha Men's Clothing Store. He was a member of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as pastor's steward, and financial secretary of the annual and general conferences. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Dorothy; two sons, Ronald, Absecon, N.J., and Roderick, Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter, Sheila Lamb Peterson, Blacksburg, Va.; two sisters, Rosa Lee Brown, Fort Pierce, and Lelia Peterson, Tallahasse e; and three grandchildren.
