Helen Wilhelmina Brandt, 87, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Brandt was born in Berger, Missouri on February 5, 1926, the daughter of the late Oscar Karl and Ida Caroline (Rohlfing) Schutt.

She was the widow of Victor Edward Brandt. They were married April 19, 1952 at Bethany Church, Berger, Missouri. Victor preceded her in death on March 7, 2006.

Helen is survived by a son Calvin Brandt & wife Donna of New Haven, three brothers Harold Schutt of Berger, Howard Schutt of Hermann and Delmar Schutt of Holts Summit, three granddaughters Laura Miller of Columbia, Katherine Witte of New Haven, and April Brandt of Pacific and by one great grandson Jackson Witte. Helen lived very close to Calvin and his family which enabled her to spend a lot of quality time with her granddaughters who she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Hilda Crowder.

Helen was a member of Ebenezer Stone Church, Gerald, Missouri where she was a member of the womens guild. She worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory in Hermann from the age of 16 until she was 24. She then helped her husband on the farm with many of the daily chores, including milking the cows.

A memorial service will be held at Ebenezer Stone Church, Gerald, Missouri at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3rd, with Rev. Laura Yurs officiating.
