NASHVILLE, TN: Glenda Earle Etheridge Bell, 70, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011, in Nashville. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at 2:00pm at Elam Baptist Church in Gray, with Rev. Gary Thomas officiating.

Mrs. Bell was born in Macon on November 06, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Dallas Van Etheridge, Jr. and Lillie Grace Batchelor Etheridge. She graduated from Jones County High School and worked in the music and restaurant businesses in Nashville. Previous husbands were Buddy Knox of Canyon, Texas, and Mario Ferrari and Ray Bell, both of Nashville. She suffered from rheumatoid arthritis and was a supporter of the Arthritis Foundation. Mrs. Bell was also preceded in death by her brother: Ronald Drew Etheridge of Athens.

Mrs. Bell is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Wayne Knox and Michael and Kelly Knox, all of Nashville; daughter and son-in-law: Wendy and John Severance of Houston, Texas; grandchildren: Holly Knox and Aubrey Knox, both of Nashville, and Jonathan Severance, Evan Severance and Emily Severance, all of Houston; brother and sister-in-law: Dallas Van and Margie Etheridge, III, of Macon; nieces and their spouses: Julie and Eddy Landon, Vanessa and Bryan Smith of Macon and Cindy Etheridge of Asheville, North Carolina; nephews and their spouses: Drew and Menna Etheridge of St. Louis, Missouri, and Nonie and Rusty Dunn; and by her great-nephews and great-nieces: Eddy Landon, Lillie Grace Landon, Ryan Duncan, Michael Dunn and Will Dunn.
