June Bauknecht Schoenfeldt, age 80, of Three Lakes died Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander. She was born in Pearson, Wis., Aug. 30, 1923, the daughter of Russell and Sadie (Clark) Skidmore.

 She married Emil Bauknecht, Jr., Nov. 7, 1942 in Crandon, and he preceded her in death Aug. 2, 1971. She later married Clarence Schoenfeldt March 3, 1976, in Iron River, Mich., and he preceded her in death July 22, 1999. She was an avid reader who enjoyed watching wildlife and working in her vegetable and flower garden. She also enjoyed painting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary in Three Lakes. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Mitch Bauknecht; two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by two brothers, Garth (Mavis) Skidmore and Keith (Nancy) Skidmore; one sister, Celia (Eugene) Grams; three sons, Rick (Cindy) Bauknecht of Three Lakes, Jerry (Cindy) Bauknecht of Three Lakes, and Larry (Jill) Bauknecht of Sugar Camp; and one daughter, Donna (Richard) VanOoyen of Antigo.

Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m. at the Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River with Rev. Paul Otto officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pearson Cemetery in the Town of Ainsworth. Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home (479-4777) is in charge of arrangements.
