Darlene Joan (Locke) Huard, 83, of Proctor, died peacefully in her home Friday, Nov. 1, 2013.

Darlene was born to Samuel and Orize (Plante) Locke in Cloquet Aug. 6, 1930. She graduated from Cloquet High School in 1948 and was united in marriage to Maurice Huard Sept. 11, 1948, in Our Lady of Sacred Heart in Cloquet.

Darlene was very active in St. Rose Catholic Church, and she was also a member of the American Legion Chorus, Red Hatters, and St. Anthony Circle at St. Rose.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sons Paul, Michael and Stephen; her parents; and two brothers.

Darlene is survived by her children, Bill (Vickie) Huard, Daniel (Lorna) Huard, Mary (Chris) Pavlovich, Nancy (Patrick) Roberts and Julie (Chris) Hussey; daughter-in-law Connie Huard; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three brothers; one sister; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

VISITATION: 4-7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Rosary Tuesday, Nov. 5, in Bell Brothers Funeral Home.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in St. Rose Catholic Church in Proctor. Interment at New Calvary Cemetery.
