On Sept. 26, 2013 while asleep at home in Broadway, VA , Alleyne B. Boyer stepped out of a body in throes of Parkinson's Disease and a mind fading from dementia into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on January 17, 1927 to Eugene and Clara Huyck.
During her life she touched many lives in Michigan, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, and Virginia and leaves a legacy of kindness, graciousness and giving.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Leonard R. Boyer.
She leaves behind daughters, Sheri Childs and Mary Beth Madison of VA, Tina Wallace of AR, and son; Rico Dunsmore of FL, step children; Clete Boyer and Izetta Reed of MI. She will also be missed by her grandchildren; Joy Dees and Rick Dunsmore of FL, Donna Dudley, Lori Dudley and Andrea Madison of VA, and step grandchildren; Shannon Childs of PA, Beki Sullivan, Katie Fidler and Kevin Childs of VA, Denise Niswonger, Eric Reed and Lisa Wickersham of MI; Lori Yarboural of TN, Tony Boyer of SC, and Chris Boyer of AL. She was also blessed with 20 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Monday from 1 PM- 6:30 PM at Faith Baptist Church in Broadway and a funeral service will be held there at 6:30. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan on Wednesday at 11 AM.
