Seymour Lydell Lansdowne Jr., age 9, of Centreville, Virginia passed away at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, after facing his third battle with cancer. Sey-J, as he was called by all those who knew him, was born to Seymour Lydell Lansdowne Sr. and Antoinette Lansdowne.

He was a boy who was full of love and adventure. He cherished spending time with his family. He loved visiting many churches in the area and serving the Lord. He also enjoyed playing a variety of sports, and had an extraordinary gift on the football field. He never missed an opportunity to watch the Washington Redskins play on television or live at the stadium.

Sey-J was loved by everyone who knew him, and though his time on this earth was short, for those who remain he will live on in our hearts forever.

He was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Bonita Chavez. Survivors include his parents, two sisters and one brother. He is also survived by his grandmother, grandfather, 6 aunts, and 3 uncles, as well as many great-aunts, great-uncles and a host of relatives and friends.
