Leon (Curley) H. Borowski, beloved son of the late Leon H. and Eleanor D. Borowski. Beloved husband of 50+ years of the late Eleanor Borowski and beloved father of Peggy Anne Graham. Beloved brother of Geraldine Schueler and the late Raymond Borowski. In addition, he leaves behind many devoted family members and friends, and was a truly devoted person to all of them, i.e., beloved son-in-law David Graham and his parents, David Graham Jr and Susan Evans; his beloved grandsons Keith Allenbaugh and Corey Graham, and Kaylynn (the little one); the friendship of Linda Green, Sheila Freeze and family and Dave Yutzy and family, the family of Dr. Joseph and Nancy Proebstle, the family of Frank and Denise Vodusek, Robert Lambird, John and Nancy Baron, Robert Clayton and family, and many many others.

Leon was a Veteran of the US Army stationed in Germany and also Coast Guard Reserves. After receiving his honorable discharge, he entered employment with General Motors Assembly Plant in Baltimore, Md. where he retired after 44 years of excellent service, only to return and requested to facilitate a critical repair so production could continue, for which he received a prestigious award.

Leon was a devoted American Legion life member of Post #175 for 37 years in Severna Pk; life member of Voiture Locale 1230 of the 40/8, presently served as the Chef de Gare of Voiture Locale 1230. He was Gard de La Porte of the Grande Voiture du Maryland, and served Grand Chef du Gare of the Grande Voiture du Maryland in 1998, In addition, he was a member of the VFW and the Elks organizations for 31 years. He was a Past Commander of the American Legion Post #175 and Past County Commander of Anne Arundel County. Organized and loved participating in numerous fundraising events for the Anne Arundel County Community College Nursing Scholarship Program including work at Camden Yards with his grandson, Keith.

He took great passion in the art of cooking and intellectual conversations. He will be greatly missed.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
