Amy Lois Hawk, 99, formerly of 600 E. 9th St., died Saturday shortly after noon at the Delaware County Home following an extended illness. A native of Delaware County and a member of the Muncie Seventh Day Adventist Church, she had spent most of her life in this community.
Miss Hawk held a nursing degree from a Battle Creek Michigan School and a medical degree from a Chicago hospital.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Cora I. Porter, Newberry, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Meeks Mortuary with Elder William R. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received at the mortuary from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and prior to services Monday.
