She was born to Eugene Elisha and Agnes Winniefred Liddell Branch. She was a twin to Thelma Branch who died at the age of 2 from Typhoid Fever.

She married Irwin George Behunin 31 Mar 1927 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah

Together they had the following children; Melba LaVern, Irwin (Erwin) George, William Eugene, Leon Branch, Lynn Ray, and Paul LeMar Behunin.
