Gerald C. “Jerry” Grinnen
New Beaver Borough resident Gerald C. “Jerry” Grinnen, 66, of Route 18, Wampum, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, in Jameson Hospital following a heart attack.
He was born March 4, 1939, in Wampum, a son of the late John and Elsie Cunningham Grinnen.
He has been married to Peg Caravella Grinnen for 46 years. She survives.
He drove a milk truck for Linger Light Dairy.
Mr. Grinnen owned and operated Jerry’s Restaurant and Jerry’s Greenhouse in Wampum.
He was a member of the Wampum United Methodist Church and also attended the Church of Genesis in New Castle.
He was a 1957 graduate of the former Wampum High School where he played basketball.
He loved gardening and his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter and son in law; a son and daughter in law; five grandchildren; five sisters and two brothers in law; two brothers and five sisters in law.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, John Grinnen, James Grinnen, Robert Grinnen and Ralph Grinnen.
Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Martin Hardy, the Rev. Tina Keller and the Rev. Ron Eade will officiate. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery.
