After Sarah's death, Bert remarried to Minnie Emelia Gottlin on April 3, 1925 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Bert and Minnie were divorced in 1932. Minnie was born about 1905 in Kansas, died in 1997 in Michigan, daughter of Ida E. Holmquist and Charles Oscar Gottlin. Bert was married to Nannie Daisy Carney Walkup after 1939.
