Mr. Allan M. Silver died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1998, at University Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Westover Memorial Park with Rabbi Jordan Parr officiating.

Mr. Silver, a native of Hamilton, Ohio, had retired from Carole Fabrics as a sales representative. He was a former member of the Summerville Exchange Club and the Augusta Jaycees. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion
Post 205. He was a member of Congregation Children of Israel.

Survivors include his wife, Lea Goldberg Silver; a son, David M. Silver, Martinez; two daughters, Nancy Silver McFarlane, Simpsonville, S.C., and Melanie Silver Beale, Martinez; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Harold Shapiro, Joel Cohen, Marvin Estroff, Stephen Steinberg, Louis Schwartz and Fred Scheer.

Memorials may be made to Congregation Children of Israel, 3005 Walton Way Extension, Augusta, GA 30909.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair Street.
