Margie was raised in the Fact Community and attended Bunker Hill Elementary School. She graduated from CCCHS in 1937. She married Floyd Ahlquist on March 2, 1945 in Manhattan. The couple farmed north of Clay Center until they moved into Clay Center in 1975. She taught for eight years at the Hayes, Bunker Hill, Sherman and Chester Schools. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clay Ceneter, the First Presbyterian Women's Circle, First Presbyterian Sewing Group, and a 4-H sewing leader. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd on May 5, 1993 and a daughter.
