Obituary:
Mr. Wilford N. Cranford, age 84, of Obion died Tuesday, May 10 at Union City Manor Nursing Home. He was born June 9, 1926 the son of the late Notie F. Cranford and Verda Ferguson Cranford. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Troy Church of Christ. Mr. Cranford is survived by a daughter Anita Adkins of Obion, a grandson and wife Michael and Crystal Ladd of Obion, two great grandchildren Daylen and Avery Ladd both of Obion, three sisters Gail Snelling of Newbern, Erma Fewell of Atoka and Louise Barker of Somerville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Doris Luker Cranford in 1986, a son-in-law Benny Adkins, a brother Odell Cranford and a sister Doris Taylor. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 12 at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Leggett officiating. Pallbearers will be Darryl McGuire, Benny McGuire, Jeff Hamlin, Dustin Hamlin, Larry Ladd and Keith Via. Drake McGuire will serve as honorary pallbearer. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn: Mid South Chapter, West Tennessee Office, 326 Ellsworth St., Memphis, TN 38111 or the local Chapter of the American Cancer Society. There will be no visitation.
