Rev. NICHOLAS RIDGELY Son of Henry M. Born at Dover Dec. 18, 1820 Died at Wilmington Del, Dec1, 1849 Aged 28 Years 11 months 13 days His charactor was a beautiful combination of the graces Of religion, adorning and blessing all the relations of life. He was a king sum and brother, a devoted husband And parent, and an adhering friend. Early devoted to the service of God in the ministry of the M.E. Church, he united with a meek and quiet spirit, Singular energy and efficiency, and labored with eminentusefulness, until his health became a sacrifice to the zeal. His death was even more lovely that his life. It says the full Triumph of the faith which his life exemplified. "I have fought a good fight. I have finished my calling (course?) Have kept the faith; henceforth there is (laid up for me a crown?) Of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge (shall give me that day; and not to me Only, but unto all them also that love his appearing?) 2 Tim. IV (verse 7-8?)
