Quinbys to observer 50th anniversary, Marshalltown IA Times Republican August 15,1945

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Quinby, 205 North Sixth Street, will observe their golden wedding August 15 and will celebrate the occasion by having open house for their friends Sunday afternoon, Aug. 19, from 2 until 4 o'clock

Alice Annella Medders and Carl Quinby were married August 15th 1895 at Waverly by Rev. J.R. Sanford. Mrs. Quinby was born at Riverton in Floyd county and Mr. Quinby is a native of Waverly, where they made their home until moving to this city 28 years ago.

Mr. Quinby began barbering at the age of 17 and has followed that business since then.

They are the parents of four children, Harold Quinby, 11 South Second street, Mrs. Doris Quinby Olmstead, 1502 South Center street, Mrs Lucille Quinby Bunting of Waco, Texas and Mrs Merdelle Quinby Wheeler, 6 South Sixth street.

They also have seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
