COUNCIL— Services for Mary Madden Amundsen, 43, former, resident of Council who died. Monday morning at Council, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Council Congregational Church, with the Rev. Stanton Tate, McCall, officiating. Interment will be at the IOOF Cemetery at Council.
She was born May 1, 1922 at Atlantic City, N.J., the daughter of Dr. Leland S. Madden and Florence Porter Madden. Mrs. Amundsen grew up and attended schools in New Jersey and was a graduate of the Cooper Hospital and Nursing School, Camden, N.J. She was a director and supervisor of nurses at the Council Memorial Hospital from 1952 until 1960. She then moved to Montrose, Colo., where she was the director of nurses at the Montrose Memorial Hospital until the time of her death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Amundsen, Montrose, Colo.; and one son, William Amundsen, Montrose, Colo.; her, mother Mrs. Florence Madden, Council; her father Dr. Leland, S. Madden, Linwood, N.J.; and one brother, Bertram S. Madden, Spokane, Wash.
