She went home to be with her Lord on October 8, 2007 following a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Mrs. Curry was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 34 years, Sam Charrier; a son, Sammy Charrier; two sisters, Elsie Higgs & Ruby Driskill; and a brother, John Howard Weathersby Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Delhi with Dr. Marcus Murphy officiating.
Burial will be in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.
Visitation wil be held from 6-8PM Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Cox Funeral Home.
Miss Eva was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church where she was active in the Choir and WMU and was also a member of the Delhi Garden Club.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, J. W. "Bill" Curry of Delhi; two sons, Bobby Charrier and his wife Brenda of Delhi, & Mark Charrier and his wife Christine of Lafayette, LA; a daughter, Evanette Charrier of Lafayette, LA; a sister, Mildred Johnson of Little Rock, AR; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a host of loving friends. She is also survived by two step sons, James Curry and his wife Merle of Delhi and Charles Curry and his wife Edda of West Monroe, LA.
Pallbearers will be Karl Stephan, Sam Charrier, Giles Bradley, Wyatt Ford, Jim Free, Randy Collins and Bud LaPrarie.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to a special caregiver, Brenda Thompson, & to the staffs of Richland Parish Hospital-Delhi & Richland Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
