Laura Jo (Levy) Bobrow

February 19, 1965-October 21, 2004

After a long and incrediable brave battle with cancer, Laura passed peacefully from this world to join her Lord and Savior in her new home. At the time of her death, Laura was at home with her husband and family at her side. Her courage, compassion, generosity, dignity, and sense of humor were an inspiration to all who knew her, including her students and fellow faculty at Galt High School, hundreds of on-line prayer partners, Harvest Church of Elk Grove, her loving family and her many friends.

Laura's passions were her family, teaching writing and her Christian faith. After receiving her diagnosis of cancer, she kept family and friends informed of her condition and faith in God by sending them regular email updates. In turn, she received hundreds of supportive and inspirational responses which she compiled in a self-published book, He Listens. She appreciated so much all the prayers and good wishes sent her way. Her family would like to thank everyone, including the staff at Stanford Medical Center and the UC Davis Medical Center Hospice Program.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Ted Bobrow, and daughters, Kaylan and Korine of Galt; parents, Don and Delores Levy of Lodi; mother-in-law, Cora Bouchoukian and her husband Ken of Morada; father-in-law, Edward Bobrow and his wife Virginia of Dorris; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Sandy Levy of Lodi; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Victor Cadena of Galt; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Doug Fernandez of Vacaville; brothers-and sisters-in-law, Rob and Washawn Bobrow of Stockton, Al and Tammy (Bobrow) Ramirez of Stockton, Richard and Kelly (Bobrow) Tevis of Stockton, and Mark and Lisa Bobrow of Lockeford; nieces, Sarah, Kelly, Emily L., Kristy, Melissa and Emily B.,; nephews, Jesse F., Greg, Anthony, Stephen, Caleb, Robert, James, Remington, Colton and Jesse B.; her very special English bulldog, Biscuit; and an extended family of many.
