James Throckmorton, son the late of John W. Throckmorton of McKinney, and Miss Irene Crawford were married at the home of the bride in Parker County.

The funeral for J.W. "Uncle Jimmy" Throckmorton, who died Saturday morning, has been set for 3 p.m. tomorrow afternoon at the American Legion hall.

Rev. J.N. Hunt, pastor of the Borger Baptist church, and the Borger Elks lodge will officiate at the funeral for the colorful figure, who was a son of an early governor of Texas.

Powell Funeral home will be in charge of arrangements. The body will be sent to McKinney where the last rites will be Wednesday.

Active pallbearers will be Art Smith, Ray Hetter, Carl Brown, Frank Elmore, Tom Sappington, and Art Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be C.R. Stahl and the entire personnel of the Panhandle Power and Light company, R.E. Sharp and the Elks lodge, Mark Cullen, J.C. Phillips, Al Thompson, J.D. Pittman, Leon Campbell, Drs. M.M. and W.G. Stephens, W.C. Thompson, Dale Lane, R.L. Grimes, Sol Morgenstern, Jack and Ike Katsh, E.C. Carver and Wade Furr.
