Burial will be in the Idalou Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapel.
He died Tuesday morning at Methodist hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Mercedes and was a retired construction worker.
Survivors include his wife, Cecelia; seven sons, Natividad, Mike, Alonzo Jr., Juan, Rodolfo, Roman and Arnulfo, all of Lubbock; five daughters Consuelo Ramirez, Ortencia Deaveers, Adela Garcia, Janie Cantu, all of Lubbock, and Teresa Rebele of Farmington, N.M.; two brothers, Jacinto Vasquez and Guadalupe Vasquez, both of Lubbock; three sisters, Andrea Trevino and Cipriana Ramirez, both of Lubbock, and Maria Lopez of Idalou; 31 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
