Mr. Nickle was born Sept. 14, 1940, in Lynn County to Robert and Dimmie Nickel. He was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include a sister, Roberta Hotchkiss of Tulia, and a brother, Donald Nickel of Lake Mackenzie.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother: James Nickel.
